Here's something most people don't realise:
UV radiation doesn't take a break in winter.
WA's sun is still pushing through your glass on every clear winter day, fading your floors, your furniture, your furnishings, and putting your family's skin at risk.
You just don't feel the heat as much, so you don't notice. But the damage is adding up every single day.
And those same clear winter days?
Your neighbours can see straight into your living room. Your home office. Your bedroom.
Call us before the neighbours peek!
Curtains help, but they block your light and your view. Window film gives you daytime privacy without losing that natural light. All year round.
By the time summer comes back around, the damage is done and the booking lists are full.
The smart move is sorting your windows now — in winter — while slots are open, the weather is cooler, and you can get it done without the rush.
AND YES, WE WORK WEEKENDS.
Book a Saturday or Sunday call and get it locked in around your life, not around a franchise's opening hours.
Stay Cool. Stay Protected. — All year round.

Blake has spent 10+ years installing window film across every application — homes, offices, retail spaces, government buildings, major infrastructure projects, boats and marine vessels, and high-end residential properties across Melbourne, New Zealand, and now right here in Perth.
"What separates our approach from what the big franchise chains do..."
Most tinting companies are running a volume game. They book as many jobs as they can fit in a day, send whoever is available, and squeeze you in between three other installs. When a tradesman is rushing to get to the next job, corners get cut — the prep gets skipped, the edges aren't clean, and the finish just isn't there.
Blake knows this because he's worked in that environment. He's seen what happens to quality when the priority is getting through the day's job list instead of getting the job right.
That's exactly why Coastal Tints works differently. One installer. One job at a time. Blake shows up, takes his time, and won't leave until the finish is something he's genuinely proud of.
All work is carried out to the Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand's (WFAANZ) published quality standards — the same benchmark the best operators in the country are held to.

Our approach delivers a clean, lasting result because we treat every job like it's our own home.
Unlike operators who show up, slap film on, and disappear — Coastal Tints starts with understanding your goals. Lower heat? More privacy? Protect your floors from UV? Save on power? Need old film removed and replaced? The right film for a west-facing bedroom is not the same as the right film for a commercial
shopfront, a government building, or a boat wheelhouse.
What Makes Our Approach Different:
Proper assessment first: Coastal Tints review your glass, orientation and goals before recommending any film — no guesswork, no one-size-fits-all
Hands-on installer: Every job is done by Blake personally — 10+ years of precision technique including advanced heat-shrinking, pattern cutting, and specialty film applications across residential, commercial, government and marine projects
Tint removal available: Got old, bubbly, peeling film that needs to come off first? Blake handles full tint removal before installing fresh film — clean finish every time. Additional cost applies.
All project types covered: Homes, offices, retail shopfronts, government and large-scale projects, boats and marine vessels — Blake has done them all at the highest level
Fully mobile service: Coastal Tints comes to you — residential, commercial or marine, Blake brings everything needed to get the quote and the job done right at your property. No shopfront visit required, ever. No call-out fees.

We're based in Mandurah and cover the entire Peel Region including Rockingham, Pinjarra, Waroona, Falcon, Lakelands, Meadow Springs, Greenfields, Halls Head, Dawesville, and Bouvard — with zero call-out fees across all of those. We also travel to the greater Perth Metro area. Not sure if we cover your suburb? Just give us a call or shoot us a message — chances are, yes we do.
This is the number one concern we hear — and honestly, it's a fair one. The short answer is no, it doesn't have to. Modern solar films are designed to cut heat and block UV without turning your home into a cave. We carry a full range of tint levels from near-clear right through to darker options, and we bring samples to your home so you can see exactly what it'll look like before you commit. We won't recommend a film that ruins your natural light.
Simple. Use a damp microfibre cloth with a small amount of mild dish soap and water. Wipe gently. That's it. Avoid anything with ammonia or harsh chemicals — Windex and similar products can degrade the film over time. No paper towels or abrasive cloths either. If you look after the film that way, it'll last for decades.
After installation, the film needs time to fully cure and bond to the glass. This usually takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on the weather and how much direct sun the windows get. During this time you might notice some small water pockets or slight haziness — that's completely normal. Don't panic, don't try to wipe it away. It'll clear up on its own as the film sets.
Yes. Film can be removed if needed — for example if you're changing to a different product, moving out of a rental, or the old tint has aged and needs replacing. If you've already got tinting on your windows and want to upgrade, we can take care of the removal first and then install the new film — all in one visit. It's a labour-intensive process and the cost varies depending on how many windows there are and how old the existing film is. Give us a call and we can give you a realistic idea of what's involved.
Our warranty varies depending on the type of installation. Residential interior flat glass installations come with a lifetime warranty — meaning it's yours for as long as you're in the property. Residential exterior installations are covered for 7 years. Commercial interior installations are covered for 12 years and exterior installations for 7 years. Marine installations are covered by warranty based on the film type used. As marine jobs often combine residential and automotive films depending on the vessel and application, warranty periods vary and will be confirmed in writing at the time of installation.
Either way, if the film bubbles, peels, discolours, or fails, we fix it. Every installation is backed by both the film manufacturer's product warranty and our own workmanship guarantee — so you're covered from two directions. We handle everything with the supplier on your behalf, so you never have to chase anyone down.
One more thing worth knowing — all warranties are tied to the original owner and are non-transferable. For more information, read our Terms & Conditions.
